A 63% reduction in crime over five years due to the town’s implementation of license plate readers, a town-wide camera security system, and Shot Spotter, which instantaneously notifies law enforcement personnel where and when shots have been fired.
Utilization of innovative low-impact green infrastructure throughout the town on a variety of stormwater projects that include bioswales and submerged baffle chambers designed to retain and treat water during heavy rain and king tide events. These projects were largely funded through multi-million-dollar grants and budgeted revenue streams, resulting in no financial burden to residents.
